Today I was introduced to some equipment used in the PNBC rehab center. We started off working with the Lumbar Extension machine. The lumbar extension machine is made to isolate your lower lumbar muscles by demobilizing the other larger muscles in your legs and hips. In comparison to a normal back extension machine...well no comparison this machine really makes you feel muscles in your back that you never thought you had.
Next we moved on to the Torso Rotation machine that again is made to isolate your core muscles by demobilizing your shoulders, hips, and legs. While in the cockpit of the machine you twist back and forth working your core back and abdomen muscles.

Day 1: First Eval

My name is Logan, I will be going through a rehab session in order to show everyone what to expect from the Physicians Neck & Back Clinics program. I currently do not have any back or neck problems, I am doing this purely as a consumer gathering and providing information about the program for you all to view. With that understood lets begin!

On the first day of the program you are required to have a check up with one of PNBC's physicians. Before meeting with the physician you have some paper work to fill out that helps the doctors ensure that you indeed have CHRONIC neck or back pain. In this first evaluation the doctors check for any serious issues that might be causing your back pain such as tumors or abdominal aneurisms.

Once you are evaluated and approved for the program you will be enrolled into a 9-12 week long program in which you will have 2 sessions per week.

Next post I will be starting my work out program and find out how the machines work...
